Founded in 1990, Kamawanu is based in Tokyo, Japan. Kamawanu is known for making Tenugui cloths. Traditionally, tenugui is made from printed cotton and has many usages such as handkerchief, bandana, dishcloth and wrapping cloth. Unlike common tenugui’s, Kamawanu uses the chusen print method, a special technique where the print is absorbed into the fabric so you can see the print on both sides.
