Mr. Chung organic houjicha is grown in the mountains of Shizuoka, Japan. Leaves and stems are harvested in May, while most other houjicha are harvested in autumn. The early harvesting combined with the roasting process, results in an elegant medium bodied aroma and a toasted-nutty-caramel flavor.
