These shorts are made using pieces of leftover indigo cotton fabric from our studio, quilted together by kantha or running hand stitches. Cinched at the waist using a drawstring.
Indigo fermentation involves creating conditions for microbiota to thrive - it’s a collaboration with microbial communities. This bioprocess is similar to the making of yogurt, wine, kombucha, cheese, soy sauce & pickle.
Color may slightly vary due to the nature of the small-batch natural dyeing.
- Waist: 29 inch stretch to 36 inch with adjustable draw tie
- Inseam: 10 inches / 25.4 cm, outseam : 22 inches / 55.8 cm is the length of the garment.
