Based in Tokyo, Japan, Kamenoko Tawashi products have been around since 1907. It has remained unchanged since its creation by Mr. Nishio Shouzaemon, the company's founder. Today, they still continue using the same raw materials of woven palm fibers.

These durable and biodegradable brushes have become a Japanese household staple and are used for cleaning everything inculding cutting boards, dishes, pots, and pans. Another common use of the brushes is to clean the skin of fresh vegetables such as carrots, radishes, potatoes, etc. There are also softer brushes that can be used as body bath brushes.
